♥ I managed to get a little ficlet written today based on one of the ABC prompts. I haven't forgotten that challenge! It's just been taking time for me to focus on writing recently (outside of the collab fics).
♥ I'm looking forward to space_wrapped opening tomorrow! *proudly waves OTP flag* I'm also going to be reading Kirk/McCoy fics that show up on Trekmas, and I'll be checking for Hermione fics at the various HP holiday fests. December is usually a good month for reading fics.
♥ I think I'll be working on mailing out holiday cards this week/weekend. If you'd like for me to send you one, please go here and fill out the poll or email me your mailing address! I love sending out cards.
♥ Instead of actually getting some tv shows caught up and removed from my dvr, I started catching up on monthly fic lists and some Bravo show called Million Dollar Listing is playing in the background. OMFG I'd like to slap these arrogant twits in this show. They're so ridiculous.
♥ Tomorrow is Top 10 show for So You Think You Can Dance. It's funny how two of my favorites this season are two that I honestly couldn't stand at the start based on attitudes etc in Vegas. Now, I'm hoping maybe they go to the final four. LOL
♥ I am so behind on updating my archive website that I cringe just thinking about trying to catch up. I really need to try to find time to work on that but meh. I get lazy and prefer spending free time writing instead or reading fic or doing just about anything else. Heh.
♥ I'm trying to decide if I want to watch that new Bravo show 'Launch My Line', which is one of their Project Runway replacement type things. I sort of have an odd addiction to watching Bravo reality competitions, even for things that don't normally interest me. Like hair styling or cooking. *headdesk*

Well, it seems that I am going to be writing two stories for space_wrapped! I sat down last night, and Jim & Bones started demanding my attention so now I've claimed a posting date of December 1 to go along with my other posting date. Here's hoping they continue to stay demanding when I start the second fic. LOL Anyway, I'm really pleased with what I wrote last night and am hoping the idea in my head for the other one continues to talk this loud now that I'm off work for two days & can finally maybe start writing it.

I'm not sure when the deadline is to sign up for space_wrapped so I wanted to do one last pimp for it. Why, no, I'm not totally addicted to Kirk/McCoy and can't stop bouncing in my chair at the idea of so much amazing K/M-focused art and fic posting in December. >_> I'm merely providing encouragement to those who might be considering claiming a date in the challenge but need a reminder via my nagging and begging. *nods solemnly* So, here it is!

Artists! Authors! Think about winter and holidays and Kirk/McCoy. 100 words minimum. A lovely sketch. Post it on a date you choose in this post. All K/M fans read/admire and enjoy and share in the love of this ship. Think about three new K/M fics/artwork being posted every day from 12/1 to 12/25. Every day will be like Christmas! You can choose a suggested prompt from the list in the comm or be inspired entirely on your own. Any rating, so it can be the sweetest 'Jim & Bones have a snowball fight with flushed cheeks and mischievous smiles' idea to the naughtiest 'Jim & Bones and their 12 Kinky Days of Christmas' idea.

Okay. I'll stop being an obsessive fangirl for now. Well, I'll stop nudging & smiling prettily at all y'all K/M fans who haven't yet joined us at space_wrapped since I kinda like being an obsessive fangirl for those two. But, yes, go sign up for a date here and draw some amazing Kirk/McCoy art for the holidays or write some brilliant fic!

There is a new Kirk/McCoy Advent community that I have to pimp. It's called space_wrapped, and anyone who writes or draws Kirk/McCoy (or wants to write/draw them!) needs to go over and claim a date! The Mods are hoping to get more than one author/artist for every day, so there's double the Kirk/McCoy fun, so let's help them out in achieving that goal! The minimum requirement for fic is 100 words, and it has to have a winter/holiday theme. It has to be Kirk/McCoy, obviously, but it can be TOS or XI. There's information about the comm here. There are some prompt suggestions up here, but you do NOT have to claim any of those prompts. The list of dates and authors/artists who have signed up is here.

Seriously, it's going to be a low stress way to have fun with the boys, whether you've written/drawn them before or if you've wanted to but needed a little push. I can so totally shove if you need that encouragement! ♥

♥ I have to work Thanksgiving. I am going to be the only person in four jail locations working in the Medical Records department. Fortunately, I'm off Christmas (and taking PTO the day after so I get a long weekend), but it still irritates me that everyone else doing admin type stuff is off on every holiday but our boss insists that one of the few trained to do courier stuff works...despite there NOT being courier service. Just WTF? *shakes head*
♥ I am bouncing around ideas for a Kirk/McCoy fic to write for the K/M Advent community that is opening on Friday. I'm excited to be participating, and I'm so going to be pimping it to everyone here because the more K/M fic/art, the better!
♥ I'm loving the newest AU collab I'm writing with andrealyn. The fact that we've written over 30K in less than a week (with work/RL interruptions) might attest to how much we're enjoying it. Of course, we should probably start focusing on editing and posting the AU fics we've finished and loved before we end up with like a dozen fics needing our attention. *guilty* But editing isn't nearly as fun as writing! *grumbles* Plus, florahart might kill us if we send too much at once. *nods*
♥ I am in one of those moods where I really feel like writing but I have errands to run and have to be at work in a few hours, so there just isn't time. I hate how that happens. When I have time, inspiration ignores me or taunts me. When I don't have time, Jim is willing to let me write when he's talking non-stop. I swear, I've never had a muse as loud and energetic as him, which is funny because whispers: Bones is actually my favorite. I kinda love the talkative ass, though, even if he drowns out most the other voices in my head currently.
♥ How is everyone? For those celebrating Thanksgiving, what are your plans? Planning to eat lots of good sweets and turkey? I'm excited for the holiday season because it always makes me want to write and read happy fics with silly things like mistletoe and snow and snuggling by the fireplace and, yes, Flora, I always love reading happy fics but holidays make them all winter-y and stuff!
